Gladys Jolene Cheek, age 83 of Quitman, Arkansas, formerly of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, May 31st, 2022 at Salem Place Nursing Home in Conway. She was born in Marble City, Oklahoma on September 6th, 1938 to Carmen Cheek.

Jolene enjoyed music and loved to sing. She was an avid reader and liked to knit. Her grandchildren had her heart and she loved them dearly.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Hathaway and husband Don of Quitman; grandchildren, Melissa Speck and husband Jake of Buhl, Idaho, Cindy Graham of Hot Springs, Matthew Graham and wife Brittany of Bakersfield, California, James Knowles and wife Juanita of Bakersfield, California and Samantha Hathaway of Dallas, Texas; and great grandchildren, Aby Speck, Raelynn Speck, Hayden Graham and Kinsley Graham.

Jolene is preceded in death by her son, David Knowles.

Private family burial will be in Marshall Memorial Gardens in Marshall, Arkansas where Jolene will be laid to rest beside her son, David.
