Henry Vincent Greener, 66, of Benton, AR, formerly of Salem, Massachusetts, went to be with his Lord and Savior on 5/5/22. Henry was born 3/31/56 in Peabody, MA to William Kenneth Greener and Henrietta R. McEachern Greener.
Most of his life was spent in Salem and Rockport, MA.
He attended school in Salem, MA and was proud of his Salem Witches football team which he followed faithfully every Thanksgiving when they played their rival, the Beverly Panthers. Henry received his MBA from Salem State College in 1994. He continued his education with Cisco and Juniper Networks throughout the years. He proudly served in the US Army where he received an honorable discharge as a veteran of the Vietnam war. He was of Catholic faith.
Henry worked for Eastern Bank in Lynn, MA for many years. He loved working in IT and helping his fantastic team create a banking network to serve many communities. Henry's love of networking and security eventually led him to work at FIS Global, as a senior network specialist, in Little Rock, AR, where he just celebrated his ten-year anniversary. Henry loved teaching people and he loved any learning opportunity.
Henry loved life. He was loved by everyone. He made people laugh from the youngest to the oldest. He loved music, birds singing and the beauty of the United States countryside. He loved his family, friends and his New England and Arkansas sports teams. He could quote stats and scores from as far back as 1940s. He was an avid Red Sox fan and if he saw anyone in a Red Sox cap or Tee, he made his way over to yell ''Go Sox'' and high-five that person. He loved to pull up a lawn chair and talk about sports, life, religion, music, or any topic with anyone who wanted to talk with him. He was a very intelligent man who knew something on almost every topic. He loved to learn from other people. Henry loved to travel. He had seen a lot of Europe, North America, most of the USA and most recently, he was learning about South Arkansas. He loved the evening sky where he watched sunsets and star constellations, the moon, and our galaxy.
Henry dearly loved his New England family and his Arkansas family. He was the life of any celebration and he made everyone feel happy and special. His bright smile and big hugs were treasured by everyone. Henry loved his adopted 'grandchildren' who lovingly referred to him as 'Hungry'. But most importantly, Henry loved the Lord. He had a true hunger to know the Lord and understand His word. He always had an encouraging passage or prayer for those in need.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, William K. Greener. He is survived by his sister, Kathy Greener Olcott and husband, Larry from Peabody, MA, and brother, John L. Greener, from Nashua, NH along with his nephews Bill Bonocore, Dana Bonocore and his niece, Allyson Abbott all of Massachusetts. He is also survived by his Arkansas family; Susan and Max McGowen (Benton); Gerald Noble (Fordyce); Jay and Sarah Hilton (Monticello); Randy Noble (Monticello); Toni Ashcraft (Springdale) and Lori and Tom Grace (Bentonville); Betty Rodgers (North Little Rock) and Vicki and Doug Brown of Pine Bluff, along and his beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews and many, many wonderful family and friends.
A Celebration of Life to honor Henry will be held on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at The Cabin at 18311 Interstate 30 in Benton, AR from 2-4 pm.
Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.

I had the pleasure to spend time with Henry, although it was short, I observed his true love of our Lord and life itself. His so loving written obituary made me see all facets of Henry. He lived his life to the fullest and makes me want to mirror that goal in my life.

I consider myself truly blessed to have known Henry Greener. He was an amazing individual with a big heart and was always so kind. I got to know Henry from working with him on FIS several projects. Henry always had a big smile, a great laugh, bent over backwards to aid anyone and never seemed to meet a stranger. He was that go to guy, a wealth of information and had so much compassion. While in the past few years I didn't get to work with Henry as often, it never seemed to matter as we always picked up right where we left off. I will forever miss him and I know I'm a better person for knowing Henry. He will be missed dearly by me and our FIS family. May you rest in peace Henry.

Henry used to work for me at FIS from 2016-2020. During this time, I got to know him and discovered just how amazing he was. One of the nicest people I have ever known, not to mention an incredible work ethic. I used to tell him all the time just how lucky I was to have him on the team. Henry, you will be missed.

I’m glad Henry’s journey and mine crossed. I learned about the North and he learned about the South.
He was The Man. He fit into our family quickly. He joined right in with jokes and laughs. The kids loved playing with him. His talents were numerous. He gave us so many fun memories.
After so many years his home became Arkansas. Max, Susan and Henry became a new family, joined at the hips.
If we just could have said Goodbye… but I think we all did- he knew we all loved him and we knew he loved us.
Thank you Henry for adding a new dimension to our lives! Until we meet again friend.

I never met Henry but talked on the phone with him many times usually when I was speaking with my co-worker and friend Susan McGowen. Henry would talk in the background and I nicknamed him TOB (Tower of Babel). I loved to hear him talk with his Boston accent. Even though we never actually met, I counted Henry as a friend. We both are Catholic and when I visited Rome I attended a special audience with Pope Francis. I had purchased a St. Raphael medal for Henry which was blessed by Pope Francis. Henry was over the moon with that medal.
When my dog passed, Lady, Henry sent me the most uplifting text, that was Henry.
I will miss you TOB!
May all of his family know how much Henry meant to all and that his life was well lived.
