of Springdale, AR
December 1, 1954 - April 17, 2022
Randy Con Wallis, age 67 of Springdale, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, April 17th, 2022, at his home with his wife Jan, his daughter Brook and stepdaughter Charity by his side. Jan was his constant companion and steadfast rock throughout his long battle with cancer. He was born in Marshall, Arkansas on December 1st, 1954, to Connie Gene Wallis and Ruth West Wallis.
Randy became a Christian at the age of 14 at a revival at Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church. His Uncle Knoful Wallis took him and his cousins, Tim and Kenny, to the revival where all three gave their life to Jesus. Randy had a deep love for the Lord and wanted all to have the same assurance of eternal salvation. He was a member of Elmdale Baptist Church in Springdale, Arkansas, where he taught Sunday school and went on multiple short term mission trips to India. On those trips he had the opportunity to see many come to know Jesus as their own personal Savior. Many friends have also expressed the positive impact he made in their life as he mentored them in their Christian Faith. Randy was a talented craftsman and owner of Narrow Gate Wood Works. Throughout his life he was a frame carpenter, drywall finisher, cabinet maker, wood turner and master craftsman. His work will live on as families live in homes with cabinets and furniture he designed and made, for decades to come.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 19 years, Jan Wallis of the home; his daughter, Brook Yarbrough and husband Alan of Marshall; step-children, Charity Jones of Fayetteville, Chad Bennett of Fayetteville and Blake Bennett and wife Tatiana of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Caden Wallis and Bella Yarbrough; step-grandchildren, Abigail Jones, Laney Jones and Samuel Bennett; his mother, Ruth Wallis of Springdale; his siblings, Gail Morton (David) of Fayetteville, Nancy Cummings (Wayne) of Russellville, Tonya McRoberts (Jody) of Spartanburg, SC and Rod Wallis (Kate) of Springdale; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will also mourn his passing. Randy was preceded in death by his dad, Connie Wallis.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
