Gleetis Verdean Barnett Stracener traded her earthly life for her heavenly home on April, 15, 2022 at the age of 96. She was born to Oscar Lee and Parilee Barnett on October 31, 1925 in Romance, Arkansas. She received her early education in the Gravel Hill schools. Gleetis married A L Stracener on December 30, 1942. They were completely devoted to one another for 74 years, 7 months until A L's death in July 2017. Gleetis was preceded by her parents; her beloved husband A L; a twin brother, Reedus; her 11 siblings and two great-great grandchildren, Athen McClure and Gracie Webb.
She is survived by her daughter, Glenda Dortch (Jerry) of Searcy; three grandchildren, Kimberly Atwell (Mike) of Pleasant Grove, AR, Shona Foote (Mike) of Benton, AR and Ty Pipkin (Jamie) of Timbo, AR; eight great grandchildren; Haley, Turner, Brittany, Ashlyn, Michaela, Hannah, Sarah, Johnathan; eleven great-great grandchildren, Kaylee, Kinsey, Madelynn, Ella Mae, Arabella, Lilly, Miah, Wylie Mae, Archer, Carter and Roman.
A celebration of Gleetis' life will be 1:00 P.M., April 19, 2022 at South Heights Church of God in Searcy with a visitation at 12 noon until service time. Burial will follow at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy under the direction of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. Memorial may be made to South Heights Church of God, Searcy, AR. I'm very sorry to learn of Aunt Dean's passing. She was a sweet tender soul. Just imagine the reunion she having today!

Aunt Gleetis was a very sweet lady. I loved her chicken and dressing and miss our family gatherings. Her and Uncle A,L. were favorites.
