Dennis Treat, age 71 of Big Flat, Arkansas passed from this life on Wednesday, March 23rd, 2022 at Baptist Health in North Little Rock. He was born in Oak Creek, Colorado on March 22nd, 1951 to Milford Treat and Violet Louise McDaniel Treat.
He was raised in Big Flat, AR graduating from Big Flat High school in 1969 but also spending parts of his childhood in Toponas, CO where his father worked in the logging industry. He completed a Tool and Die Degree in Searcy, AR in 1971. Dennis has been a dedicated Christian since he was saved as a young man. He was active in the Big Flat Assembly of God and loved the people in his church. He operated a drywall contracting business with his brother Doug in North Central Arkansas since 1972, and was well known in the home building community.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and close friends. He was a man who minded his own business and often kept to himself, but loved everyone and demonstrated that love in deeds. He was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, great uncle and friend. Many were blessed by his light.
Survivors include his two sons, Mark Treat of Springfield and Luke Treat and wife Laura of Lone Rock; grandchildren, Noah Treat, Eli Treat, Tyler Treat, Baylor Treat, Ellis Treat, Hazel Jane Treat and Stonewall Treat; brother, Doug Treat and wife Brenda of Big Flat; sister, Sue Freeman of Big Flat; and many extended family and friends who will also mourn his passing.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, Milford and Violet Treat; his wife of 48 years, Belma Treat who passed away in 2020; one grandchild, Adam Treat; brother, Ronnie Keith Treat; and niece, Misty Freeman.
Graveside services for Dennis will be 10:00 AM Friday, March 25th, 2022 at Big Flat Cemetery in Big Flat, Arkansas with Bro. Darin Holliman and Bro. James Foster officiating. Bearers will be Luke Treat, Mark Treat, Doug Treat, Terry Treat, Jimmy Treat and David Treat. Please bring a chair for those who need one in your group.

to all of Dennis' family our prayers are with you
all of the Treat cousins have always been close and lived very close to each other here and Colo. so we have always been more like brothers and sisters than cousins.and now that we are older we are still close so losing Dennis and Belma is like losing family
We are so Blessed to have Luke and Laura and the kids living close to us at Lone Rock now our grandkids and Dennis and Belma's can be close cousins like we were one of my grandsons is always telling me they feel just like family and I proudly told him thats the way all us Treat cousins my age always felt when we were growing up and still do
I know everyone will miss him terribly but will also have a lot of good memories and knowing that he is in heaven with Belma will make it easier

Dennis was a very kind man. He always stop and visit when harold and Francis was here at homecoming Telling about all his fishing trips.
We was invited over for a family cookout and enjoy it so much.
