Edna Mae Evenson, age 94 of Marshall, Arkansas passed from this life on Sunday, March 20th, 2022 at Highland Court in Marshall, Arkansas. She was born in Leslie, Arkansas on February 12th, 1928 to Pauline Bratton and raised by grandparents, J.C. Bratton and Kellie Bratton.
Edna was of the Baptist faith and was baptized in 1946. She was raised up in Dennard by her grandparents, J.C. and Kellie and also spent time with her mother, Pauline in Leslie. Edna married at the age of 16 and raised 8 children. Her strong faith and hard working ethic helped her through many trials. She was a wonderful homemaker and spent many hours canning produce raised on the family farm. She was an excellent cook and worked at area restaurants for many years. She also taught many in the family her cooking skills. She also enjoyed quilting. Edna was a very kind, soft-spoken woman and her gentle spirit will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Dale Warren (Barbara) of Marshall, Polly Brenaman (Phil) of Leslie, Loretta Horton (Johnny) of Marshall, Kelly Evenson (Cindy) of Western Grove, Artie Evenson of Marshall, Ronnie Warren of Marshall and Linda Grubb of Holly, CO; grandchildren, Bobby (Kim), Jul (Shana), Nicole, Clint (Kathy), Joe (Deanna), Rodney, Roy Dale (Melissa), Phil, Lana (Don), Jason (Nancy), Reva (Brock), Jeannie (Treigh), Jessica (Justin), Justin, Gunner (Kayla), Scott (Kim), Caitlin, Shawn and Dustin (Amber); a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters, Sharon Searcy of CA and Diane Green of CA; and many extended family members and friends who will also mourn her passing.
Edna is preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Eual Warren and Raymond Evenson; daughter, Sharon King; grandchildren, Raymond Evenson and Shaley Herter; and siblings, JC Thornsberry, Calvin Thornsberry and Coreen Thornsberry.
Funeral services for Edna will be 1:00 PM Friday, March 25th, 2022 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Kelly Johnson and Bro. Jason Horton officiating. Visitation will be 4:00 till 6:00 PM Thursday in the Chapel. Burial will be in Dennard Cemetery. Bearers will be Bobby Warren, Jul Warren, Roy Dale Grubb, Phil Grubb, Scott Evenson and Gunner Evenson. Honorary bearers will be Dale Warren, Ronnie Warren, Kelly Evenson, Artie Evenson, Kaleb Tyler, Joe McDonald, Clint McDonald and Rodney Rogers.

I met Edna when I worked at highland court in Marshall she was a very determined and at the same time you could truly appreciate the life she lived rip Ms.edna fly high with them angels eat lots of BBQ and last but least keep all in line sending prayers and hugs to entire family
