Bonnie Byrun Napier ''Sarge'' died peacefully in the home that he built and loved March 14, 2022. He was born December 4, 1934, to Bonnie and Ruth Napier in Knoxville, Illinois.
He is survived by the love of his life, Gwendolyn, to whom he was married for 65 years; a sister, Caroline Hodges; a son, Barry (Cindy); a daughter, Lavon; two granddaughters, Kristi (Ben) Brown, and Chelsey (Michael) Ashcroft; five great grandchildren, Brinlee, Lexyn, Brittyn, Kinlynn, and Lane; and special friends who were like family, Justin and Kenda Lee, and many brothers and sisters in God's family.
Sarge served in the U.S. Air Force for 21 years, and won many medals and honors, working as an airplane crew chief flying missions, many in Vietnam. Upon his retirement from the military, he worked at Harding University for 23 years.
He was a Christian who loved working for the Lord, serving as a deacon, building manager and treasurer for many years.
Sarge loved hunting, fishing, and woodwork. He had so many wonderful friends and neighbors.
A special thanks to Hospice who made his last days so much more comfortable.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Pangburn Church of Christ.
Services will be held Friday, March 18, 2022 from 6:00 7:00 PM for Visitation with the Funeral being held on Saturday March 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM both at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy with Military Honors.

I am so very sorry for your loss, I am so sorry I just this minute found out. Did realize you were still here. He was such a wonderful person and man of God, and has gone on to his heavenly reward. I have missed you both so much this pendemic, and know that you are in my prayers. My husband and have been down unable to attend services, my husband has Altzimers and I am on a walker and oxygen 24 seven. We've loved you guys so much. Much love to you and your family
