John Edward Dunbar, II, age 74, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Monday March 7, 2022 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

John was born June 21, 1947 in Ft. Sheridan, Illinois to the late John Edward and Tyyne (Heinonen) Dunbar. He had been a resident of the area since 1998 coming to here from Orlando, Florida. A United States Navy veteran, Mr. Dunbar served four tours in Vietnam. He had a PhD in American History, served on several different law enforcement agencies throughout his life, and was a member of American Legion Post 61 in Yellville. Above all he was a devoted family man.

John is survived by his wife Annette of the home, five children: Jennifer Napolitano (John), Carl A Haas, Jr., all of Orlando, Florida; Jason Dunbar (Mariela) of Miami, Florida; Allaina Winberry (Jessee) of Sebring, Florida; Ashlind Haas (Nichole) of Summit, Arkansas; his brother Charles, his sister Patty, 25 grandchildren, and one great-grandson.

Visitation for Mr. Dunbar will be 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Monday March 14, 2022 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville, Arkansas.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday March 15, 2022 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Arnold officiating, and with military honors provided by the United States Navy.
