Sarah "Bug" Fletcher, age 77, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at her home. She was born August 5, 1944 in Brickeys, Arkansas to the late Mildred McElduff Wood and Eugene Wood. Bug was a member of Petty Chapel Church in LaGrange, Arkansas. She loved to clean, watch hummingbirds and most of all she loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Junior Fletcher; three sons, Chris Fletcher (Janice) of Shreveport, Louisiana, Anthony Fletcher and Jonathan Fletcher both of Marianna; two daughters, Sherrie Barnes and Cassie Ingold (Brian) both of Marianna; nine grandchildren, Carmen Martwick (Brent), Sarah Jolly (Steven), Dale Fletcher, Hope Helton (Matt), Heidi Wheeler (Jonathan), Ariel Russell (Colton), Salem Mooney (Josh), James Palmer, and Livie Fletcher; 13 great grandchildren; brother, J.D. Wood (Mary) of Monticello, Arkansas; a host of other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Shirley Lawson, Minnie Sue Davis, Joe Ann Ashburn, and Louise Wood; two brothers, Elmer Wood and James Wood; one grandson, Tyler Tidwell.
A graveside service for Mrs. Sarah "Bug" Fletcher will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 4, 2022 at LaGrange Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Roller-Citizens Chapel in Marianna, Arkansas. Brother Hillman Davis will officiate.
Pallbearers are Dale Fletcher, James Palmer, Jonathan Wheeler, Matt Helton, Colton Russell, Josh Mooney, Joe Barnes, Richard Webb, and Brent Martwick.
