of Marshall, AR
August 18, 1943 - February 12, 2022
Florence Mildred Yerkey, 78 of Marshall, Arkansas went to her heavenly home on Saturday, February 12th, 2022 at St. Mary's in Russellville, Arkansas. She was born on August 18th, 1943 to Lewis LaBryer and Livona Duncan LaBryer.
Florence was everything you can think of when you think of "Mother". With eight children of her own, she certainly earned the title, but she was very much a caretaker of many children-her grandchildren and others in the family. We will all remember the home cooking, canning, and gardening. She loved flowers as well as vegetable gardening. She worked hard keeping us clean and fed-but she knew how to have fun too! Florence loved Elvis and had a good singing voice, until a bout of pneumonia. She loved watching baseball. Everyone knew she was Dodger Blue. She loved to travel often to Washington State to see her family there. When we think of mother, we think of her and all the things she loved, but most of all the love for her family.
Survivors include her eight children, Winona Gayle Connor (Robert) of Lamar, Lavona Sue Clanton (Danny) of Golden, MO, Thomas Wayne Yerkey (Carla) of Cabot, Sandra Lee Rudder (Junior) of Hector, Vicky Kay Yerkey of Tilly, Calvin Martin Yerkey (Teresa) of Perryville, Ronnie O'Dell Yerkey (Amelia) of Welcome Home and Donna Marie Yerkey of Welcome Home; grandchildren, Aaron Connor (Marita), Rebecca Connor, Matthew Yerkey (Jasmine Rogers), Cody Gerard, Tyler Rudder, James Oliver (Jennifer), Kayla Jackson (Brad), Caleb Smith, Brianna Yerkey, Harley Yerkey and Haley Martinez Coto (Jose); sixteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Ron Lewis LaBryer (Marisue) of Trout Lake, WA, Alfred Glen Duncan of Apache Junction, AZ and Patsy Dudley (Jesse) of Willard, WA; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends who will also mourn her passing.
Florence is preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Livona LaBryer; her husband, Thomas Martin Yerkey who passed away in 2002; and brother, Delbert Duncan.
Celebration of Life services for Florence will be 2:00 PM Friday, February 18th, 2022 at Roller-Coffman Chapel in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Larry Don Smith officiating.

Although I never met your mom, I know how wonderful she was just by knowing you. We often reflect the best parts of our parents thanks to the loving, although sometimes challenging, way they raised us. Take comfort in your memories and the wonderful stories of your childhood as you transition to a life without her. Love to you, Robert, my favorite Peyton, and all your family.
