Austin Shane Maasdam, age 22, of West Helena, Arkansas passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022. He was born July 14, 1999 in Helena to Shannon Williams Maasdam and Jason Shane Darby. Austin had a love for racing, hunting, fishing, snow mobiling, riding dirt bikes and all things outdoors.
He is survived by his father, Jason Darby/Ryan Maasdam; mother, Shannon Maasdam; sister, Kylie Maasdam of West Helena; grandparents, Ricky and Donna Williams of West Helena, Betty Mills of West Helena, and Larry and Melanie Maasdam of Clarion, Iowa; a host of other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Darby.
A funeral service for Austin Shane Maasdam will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Roller-Citizens Chapel. Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Roller-Citizens Chapel as well. Burial to follow to Sunset Memorial Park. Brother Audie Richardson will officiate.
Pallbearers are Christopher Williams, Michael Williams, Michael Williams, Jr., Marshall Adams, Robert Nearns and Waylon Robb.
Honorary pallbearers are CJ Adams, Walker Holenbeck and Michael Davidson.
