They built a house on the family farm and lived there 20 years. They sold their land and house and moved to Yellville into a house they built in 1995. They lived there until Homer passed in 2009 and Brenda moved to Heaven January 25, 2022. Brenda was a member of First Baptist Church in Yellville.

Brenda is survived by her sister-in-law Jean Oxford Goforth, Kenneth Ross Oxford, Stuart Logan Oxford and wife, Megan; great niece Hannah, and two great nephews Rody Mack and Conner Clay.

Dear Oxford Family,

My family spent a lot of time with the Oxford/Black families when I was growing up. Brenda was a kind sole and I will remember her fondly.

May the family find peace knowing so many will hold you up in prayer and love.
