Matthew ''Matt'' Warren Huey, age 52 of Malvern, AR, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs. Matthew was born July 20, 1969, in Little Rock, AR, to Leon Huey and Joan Kizzia Huey.
Matt loved the Lord and was not ashamed of his faith. He attended Malvern First Assembly of God Church. He loved both Southern Gospel and Contemporary Christian music. He was employed by the Harmony Grove School District in Haskell. Matt was a ''people person'' and never met a stranger.
Matt was preceded in death by his father and paternal and maternal grandparents.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife of 19 years Amanda McCuin Huey of Malvern; one daughter, Mary Grace Reese (Morgan), of Benton; one son, Matthew Paul Huey of Malvern; his mother Joan Kizzia Huey of Malvern; two brothers, Christopher Huey (Cathie) of Maumelle, and Joe Huey (Kristi) of Benton; two granddaughters, Mary Kate and Madelyn Rose Reese of Benton; five nieces, and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 21, at Roller Alcoa Funeral Home in Benton with visitation Thursday, January 20, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
