Lonnie Gilbert, 62 of Lamar, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at his home with his loved ones by his side. Lonnie was born to Charles and Stella Gilbert on August 11, 1959, in Clarksville, Arkansas. Lonnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved his family and friends.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his mother and father, Stella and Charles, by his brother, Larry, sister-in-law, Lori Gilbert, and one nephew, Charlie Gilbert.
Lonnie is survived by his wife, Rose, of 33 years; three sons, Kevin and wife Alisha Holstein of Moore, OK., Jason Gilbert of Clarksville, AR., and Steve Weaver of Palos Verde, CA.; two daughters, Rainbow Bagsby of Morrilton, AR., and Jasmine Gilbert of Long View, TX.; grandchildren: Dicen Bagsby, Laila Thompson, Brenton Thompson, Scarlet Applegate, Ryan Gilbert, Jaslynn Gilbert, Jacob Holstein, Katelyn Holstein, Nate Holstein, and Greyson Holstein; one niece, Amanda Wilkins; one nephew, Levi Gilbert; and a host of other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Hedgeway Church in Lamar. Family asked that loved ones dress in camo casual.

It was a real pleasure to know him I liked working for him and his brother and him laugh at me for fishing and come back off that boat all looking like a lobster I know he is and will be greatly missed and it was most awesome to see him saved and baptized we will see him again
