Robert J. Sharp, age 89, of Yellville, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at his home.
Robert was born October 25, 1932 in Buckville, Arkansas to the late Luther and Rosa (Blocker) Sharp. He was a Retired Sergeant First Class from the United States Army. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Yellville, an avid outdoorsman who loved the Ozarks, his family and friends.
Bob is survived by his brother Jethro ''Pete'' Sharp of Greenbrier, Arkansas ; his sister Sue Jones of Scotland, Arkansas; his daughter-in-law Marie Sharp of Denver, Colorado; his close friend Nancy Cook of Yellville; four grandchildren: Charles Jacob Sharp (Marie) of Yellville, Kristyn Gee Roberts, Carole Brewer both of Salem, Arkansas; Mason Schumacher of Draper, Utah; eight great-grandchildren: Jacob Andrew Sharp, Emily Jewel Sharp, Olivia Autumn Sharp, Michael Viven Sharp, Noah Jones, Dominic Roberts, Breana Brewer, and Isabella Rodgers.
He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy, and his wife Pat; his son Tony, his daughter Robyn, and a great-grandson Dawson Mac Jones.
Visitation for Mr. Sharp will be 10:00 - 11:00 am Tuesday January 4, 2022 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home in Yellville.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday January 4, 2022 at Roller-Burns Funeral Home Chapel with Keith Hurst officiating.
Interment with Military Honors will follow at Layton Cemetery in Yellville.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Jefferson, Keith Hurst, Eddie Patterson, Jack Fortner, and Bud Wilson.
