James Thomus Ellison passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the age of 79. He was born November 3, 1942 James was a resident of Marion, Arkansas for many years and was the husband of Ruby Ellison. Together they were able to spend 40 years before God called him home.
James was a faithful member of the Marion Church of God and retired form the City of Memphis where he was a skilled mechanic. He could always be found helping others with their needs. He was a member of Grand Lodge of Masons. He loved his kids and grandkids and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing.
James is survived by his loving wife Ruby, three sons; James T. Ellison Jr. of West Memphis, Arkansas, Lee Parish of Strawberry, Arkansas, and Thomas Kelly of West Memphis, Arkansas, his three daughters; Tabitha Taylor (Marvin) of West Memphis, Arkansas, Catherine Ward (Tim) of Sarah, Mississippi and Cynthia Chesser (Dean) of Strawberry, Arkansas. He also leaves his brother Charlie Ellison (Linda) of Farmerville, Louisiana. James will also be deeply missed by fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren as well as numerous nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son Jeffery Ellison, two brothers; Bobby and Sidney Leon Ellison and his sister Mary Ruth Ellison.

Ive known james for many many years. His wife Ruby was like a second parent to me weve known each other for 49yrs. My prayers and love for out to the whole family. GOD BLESS RIP JAMES

My heart breaks for his family especially Miss Ruby. Those two were truly in love. I have only briefly been around them but that was enough time to see it. God bless you and may Mr James Rest In Peace.
