July 8, 1951 - November 28, 2021

Barry Phillip McClelland, Sr, 70, of Greenbrier, went to be with his precious Lord and Savior on November 28, 2021, surrounded by his loving wife Nancy, mother in law; Ann Faulkner, brother and sister in law; Chat and Gigi Gattis, step daughter; Ginger, and family friend; Mary Gatewood. Barry was born July 8, 1951, to the late Jessie Morris McClelland and Minnie Doris McClelland. Barry was a faithful member of Greenbrier Church of the Nazarene where he attended faithfully with his wife Nancy.

Barry was a Vietnam era Veteran in the Army and worked for Southwestern Bell (AT & T) for 33 years with 29 years of perfect attendance before he retired in 2003. After retirement, he worked part time for Baker Eye Institute. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, attending church, playing cards with his son, holding the family corn hole championship, music, playing drums, computer games, and maintaining his home and gardening. He was eager to help family and friends. Barry was the definition of loyalty, dependability, honesty, dedication, selflessness, and was the hardest worker one would ever meet. His faith and trust in the Lord was unmatchable and he gave his best effort with everything his hands touched.

He was preceded in death by his precious daughter; Jennifer Renee McClelland, his grandson; Danny Ray McClelland, his mother; Minnie Doris McClelland, his father; Jessie Morris McClelland, his seven brothers; Robert ''Dolly'' McClelland, Russell McClelland, Donald McClelland, Thomas ''Buddy'' McClelland, Jimmy McClelland, Kenneth McClelland, Billy McClelland and one sister; Evelyn Carter.

Barry is survived by his loving wife Nancy McClelland of Greenbrier, one son; Barry Phillip McClelland, Jr. of West Memphis, one step son; Tobey Duncan (Kelly) of West Memphis, one step daughter; Ginger Dabbs (Charlie) of Marion, nine grandchildren; Sabra McClelland of West Memphis, Kayla McClelland of West Memphis, Eli Duncan of West Memphis, Mary Grace Duncan of West Memphis, Charlotte Duncan of West Memphis, Valorie Duncan of West Memphis, Emma Dabbs of Marion, Anna Dabbs of Marion, Jase Dabbs of Marion, and one great granddaughter; Lyla McClelland, mother in law; Ann Faulkner of West Memphis, sister in laws; Ann McClelland of Marion, Janice McClelland of Turrell, Shirley McClelland of Turrell, Billie Ann Brewer (Bill) of Southaven, Mississippi, former sister-in-law; Patsy McClelland Mitchell of Turrell, brother-in-law; Chat Gattis (Gigi) of Marion and several nieces and nephews.

Burial will be that afternoon at 3:00PM, in Tyronza Arkansas at the Tyronza Cemetery, with Rev. Steve Thrasher officiating.

Mrs. Nancy and family,
You are in my prayers. I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. I pray God gives you strength and comfort at this time because only He can. Know that Barry is right there with the Father. He is in no more pain or suffering. This is a short time here. And someday we will all reunite where there is no more sorrow or goodbyes. Walking the streets of heaven for eternity, we will all be. Barry is already enjoying God's presence on them streets of gold. I love you. And am so sorry. Love, Samantha Stephens-Garretson

Barry was a good christian man. A friend to all if he saw you working he would always be there to help. Once my wife and started to build a deck, with in minutes Barry and Nancy were there to help. Then all of the neighbors came to help. By noon the 16'x20' deck was finished . Each neighbour brought food and we had lunch on that new deck. That was who Barry was a servant of god .He will be greatly missed.

Barry and I rode the school bus together when I was in elementary school and he was in middle school at Turrell and he was always a good guy. May God give peace and comfort to all of the family and friends.
