James ''Dusty'' Carter, 66, of Marianna, Arkansas passed away peacefully at his home, on Thursday, September 9, 2021. He was born January 21, 1955 to Russell Carter and Barbara Paul Carter.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn May Carter, of the home, one daughter, April Wilson (Jeremy), of Moro, Arkansas, two grandchildren, Matthew Wilson, Natalee Wilson, his mother, Barbara Carter, three brothers, Rusty Carter (Shelia), Patrick Carter, and Lance Carter, Bother-in-law and sister-in-law, Spencer and Mary May, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Graveside services will be held Monday, September 13, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. at Marianna Memorial Park in Marianna, Arkansas. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 12, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas. To the Carter Family. Please accept my condolences. My heart just breaks for all of you. I graduated High School with Dusty in 1972. He was a kind gentle person. You will be in my prayers.
I just keep going back to our senior year memories. Loved his wit. I know you all miss him so. Days will come when precious memories will replace the grief. God will provide comfort in the days to come.
My heart is so broken. Dusty was always alot of fun to be around when we were growing up. I remember Dusty and me taking two bicycle to make one in front of their home on Mixon Avenue. Rusty and Carter family, I'm so sorry to hear of Dusty's passing. I would run into Dusty whenever I came back to Marianna and he would catch me up on what was going on around town. I always enjoyed Dusty's dry sense of humor. My thoughts and prayers are with the Carter family during this painful time.
