Helen M. Whitaker, 90, of Blytheville, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021. She was born July 14, 1931 in Phil Campbell, AL to Huston Obed and Rosey Emily Meherg.
Helen was a hardworking and loving woman. She enjoyed gardening and planting beautiful flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Huey Meherg, Jessie Ray Meherg; sister: Bobbye Jean Rush; sister-niece: Debbie Lynn Lambert.
She is survived by her son, Harold Whitaker and daughter-in-law: Marian Whitaker. Grandchildren: Christina Leighann (William) Travis and Harold Dean (Lonetta) Whitaker.
Great-Grandchildren: Lindsay, Whitaker, Lillian, Josh, Meagan; brother: Jim Meherg; Sisters: Ora Lee Hussey, Peggy Sue Beard, Pat Keel, Shirley Day, and Linda Humphrey.
Visitation will be held at Roller-Swift funeral home, Friday, September 10, 2021 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens.

Nana- I remember the times we spent when in Oxford Mississippi at your little old cabin on the lake.
Mustafa & I went by -just to look and remember. I didn't know you had sold the property but the owners Pat & Bud made us feel right at home.

I cannot find the words to express the impact of Helen and her wonderful family in my life. I always felt the love and was blessed to share the laughter and memories. I am so saddened for the family's loss, and my heart is with you all.
