Phyllis Louise Brown Springer, 71, of Starkville, MS, passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021. She was born October 23, 1949 in Dyess, AR to Hollis ''Buster'' and Esther Brown. Phyllis was of the Baptist Faith, was a member of Dyess Central Baptist Church and was a loving house wife. She was a former employer at American Greetings and played Pro Basketball with The Southern Belles. She never met a stranger, enjoyed talking to people and enjoyed her pets. She is survived by her husband Mike Springer; her brothers: Albert (Marilyn) Brown, Tony Brown and Pete Brown; sister: Sharon Gann; and many nieces and nephews who she loved as her own children. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother: Paul Brown; sister: Gloria Janie Brown.

I’m sure God has a special place in heaven for Phyllis. She was a giving, loving person. My memories of Phyllis are mostly from childhood, and they are fun, happy memories. As an adult, I saw her as unselfish, patient, caring. I admired her commitment to others. My God grant peace to all who loved her.
