Betty Lou (Freeman) Sisk, 85, formerly of Little Rock and Perryville, Arkansas, passed from this life into eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at her home in Russellville, Arkansas. She was born April 6, 1935 to Arthur and Sarah Freeman in Big Flat, Arkansas. She married Garlen Kindrick (Kin) Sisk on March 27,1954. She was a faithful member of Perryville First Baptist Church. Her biggest joys included going to church, cooking (especially chicken and dumplings), yard work, embroidering and spending time with her family and friends.
Betty was raised in Big Flat near Blanchard Springs and graduated from Big Flat High School. She was a homemaker, a beautician and a retiree from AT&T (Teletype) in Little Rock. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and always looked at everything with a positive and encouraging attitude. She had a sweet personality and was kind, loving and generous to her family, friends and everyone who met her. She also had a great sense of humor.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 40 years, two (2) sisters Grace Newgent and Madge Copeland, and three (3) brothers Fred Freeman, Theodore Passmore and Glynn Freeman.
She is survived by her daughter Sheila Wardlaw (Roger) of Russellville, her son Mark Sisk (Debbie) of Perryville, and her sister Rose Gray of Perryville. She is also survived by three (3) grandchildren; Andrea Garner of Richmond, Kentucky, Jeremy Wardlaw of Lincoln, Nebraska and Karrah Sisk of Conway, Arkansas and three (3) great-grandchildren who called her GG; McKenzie Reavis and Avery Garner of Richmond, Kentucky and Liam Sisk-Dees of Conway, Arkansas. She is also survived by a number of other family to include nephews, nieces, and cousins along with a number of close friends and acquaintances.
The funeral services will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Perryville First Baptist Church under the direction of Roller-Drummond Funeral Home of Little Rock. Pastors Bobby Minick and Jason Campbell will be officiating. Interment will follow the service at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Bryant. The family will be receiving friends for visitation at the church prior to the funeral service from 11:45AM to 12:45PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Senior Adult Ministry of Perryville First Baptist Church, 207 4th Street, Perryville, Arkansas 72126.
We will be following the Arkansas Health Department Covid guidelines.
