Betty L. Clay

of Greenbrier, AR

March 30, 1937 - November 24, 2020

Betty L. Clay, 83, of Greenbrier, formerly of Little Rock went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. She was born March 30, 1937 in Ola, AR to the late Jim and Leslie Pitts. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Bobby Joe Pitts, Alford Pitts, Henry Pitts, and James Pitts, and sisters, Eva John Pifer, Jesse Vann, Janice Bryant, and Thelma Butler.

Betty is survived by her husband, Orbin Clay, son, Eric Clay (Pam), daughter, Terry Bailey (Mark), grandchildren; Mark Bailey, Jr., Jennifer Evans, Brent Clay, and Lindsey Clay Betts, great-grandchildren; Alexzandria Evans, Cassadi Evans, Gage Bailey, and Jordan Bailey, sisters; Dorothy Wong and Ruth Clay, brother, Louis Pitts and many other nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Before becoming a full-time homemaker, Betty worked for Timex, and AR Egg Company among other places. She loved flowers and won several Green Thumb awards for her various yards. Betty was a fantastic cook and a hard worker, volunteering countless hours to her Church's projects. After a massive stroke and many other health issues, Betty continued to witness and pray; she believed the Lord allowed her to live for a reason. Betty loved her husband and children, but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren stole the show!

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM, Friday November 27, 2020 at Need's Creek Cemetery, with a visitation at Need's Creek Baptist Church starting at 1:00PM, one hour prior to the service.

Please wear masks and practice social distancing.
