To the family of my very dear friend, Corbet: My heartfelt condolences in your loss of such an incredibly kind man. Our world would be a much nicer place if there were more men like Corbet in it. I don't think he had a mean bone in his body and he always had a smile on his face - even if you were just talking to him on the phone, you could "hear" him smiling!! I was about 16 years old when my Daddy bought me a car - not a new one by any means, but one that was sitting on the property of Bonds Transmission . . . that was the beginning of a lifelong friendship with Corbet. We didn't stay in close contact through the years, but did stay in contact periodically. SO MANY memories started running through my mind when I saw his obituary in the newspaper. My first car, my dog, Tiger, that Corbet gave me (one of Ginger's puppies), rebuilding my carburetor with supervision from Corbet (yes, I am serious!!) - - Chuck as a little toddler, Gayla's birth, and later, Judy coming into his life - both blessed to have each other. They were just "meant" to be and shared such a special life together. I didn't know Judy had died last year until I read Corbet's obituary. Corbet loved his family unconditionally and his eyes would light up at the mention of any one of them. He was such an inspiration and such a good man.

May the many treasured memories you have of Corbet and his beautiful spirit bring you comfort and may God's grace grant you peace. You all were loved by a very caring and gentle soul.

Rest in peace my unique friend.
