TSgt Arthur Edward ''Art'' Henninger, US Air Force (Ret), 84, of Mayflower, AR left us on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Baptist Health-Conway after complications from a fall and hip surgery .

Born on April 25, 1935 in Pittsburgh, PA where he was raised, TSgt Henninger proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He is a veteran of the Vietnam War, including a tour from 1967-68 during the Tet Offensive, and retired after 20 years from Langley Air Force Base. After retiring from the Air Force, Art went on to be the top route salesman for Frito Lay in Hampton, VA. Following his move to Arkansas, he was a dispatcher for Tennessee Texas Express and Goggin Truck Line. Art later gained satisfaction from his role as a delivery driver with Thriver Impressions where he retired fully from the workforce in 2014.

His passions included hunting at Rixie Hunt Club, where he was president for over 25 years and, as a lifetime fan, cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Art is preceded in death by his wife Rose Mary Henninger, father Joseph J. Henninger, mother Amelia ''Millie'' (Honick) Henninger, and brother Charles Joseph Henninger.

He is survived by his daughter Deborah Ann Davis of Mayflower, AR, grandson Jeremy (Amanda) Davis and great-granddaughter Emery Rose Davis who he lovingly called, ''Smiley'' of New York, NY. He will be missed by numerous friends and regulars at Ton's Place and Stroud's Diner along with dear neighbors all who will remember fondly his attempts to maintain a stern reputation while trying to hide his soft side and kind heart.

The family will receive friends for a Rosary and visitation at Roller McNutt Funeral home 650 Central Landing Blvd. Conway, AR, Sunday February 16, 2020, at 4:00pm. A local funeral will be held Monday, February 17, 2020 at Noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church 1115 College Ave., Conway, AR. A Military funeral honors and burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on a date still to be determined and all are welcome to attend. Contributions in his honor may be made to the Wounded Warriors Foundation or the VFW.
