Vergil Johnson, 94, of Moro, Arkansas passed away, Sunday, October 27, 2019. He was born on Monday, August 17, 1925 to Cam ''Dink'' and Ruth Mann Johnson.
Mr. Johnson is survived by two sons, Keith Johnson (Patsie), of Umpire, Arkansas; Larry Johnson (Debbie), of Brinkley, Arkansas; and one daughter, Sharon Parson (Frankie), of Moro, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Greg Parson (Kelly), Justin Parson (Janet), Haley Williams (Jared), Josh Johnson, Callie Morphew (Tony), Stephanie Reynolds (Jason), Steven Johnson (Carmen), and fourteen great-grandchildren, three sisters, Roberta Paulman, of Brickeys, Arkansas, Cammie Benham, of Palestine, Arkansas; and Rose Edmonson (Tommy), of Lufkin, Texas; four brothers, Delbert Johnson (Ruby), of Byhalia, Mississippi; J.C. Johnson (Joyce), Walter Johnson, John Johnson (Janie), all of Marianna, Arkansas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents,, step-mother, Zula Mann Johnson, his wife, Maxine Hyslip Johnson, six brothers, Jack, Laborn, R.C., Huey, Roger, and Kim Johnson, and one great-grandson, Garrett Parson.
Services for Mr. Johnson will be held Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Marianna, Arkansas with Chaplin T.L. Gabbard officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will follow services at Oak Grove Cemetery in Moro, Arkansas.
