of England, AR
September 26, 1935 - October 31, 2018
Carole Anne McKenzie McDonald, 83, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all, entered her heavenly home to receive her crown of glory on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Born September 26, 1935, to Charles D. McKenzie and Gertrude Chaney McKenzie, Carole Anne was a lifelong resident of England, AR. She lived on the same corner for all of her 83 years with the exception of her years away at Arkansas State Teachers College (now UCA). She finished college in 3 years and 2 summers in order to get back home to marry her high school sweetheart, Harold McDonald.
Carole Anne was the ultimate teacher, having taught third graders for 35 ½ years at England Elementary and England Academy. She also influenced the lives of many other children as a Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church where she also sang in the choir for many years. Carole Anne loved boating on Greers Ferry Lake, KFC picnics, trips to Eureka Springs and Branson, decorating her home for all holidays, cooking, and riding her bicycle around town while waving at everyone. But most of all, she adored her family. Her husband, daughters, and granddaughters were the light of her life. When people think of a genteel Southern Belle, Carole Anne definitely comes to mind. She never left home without her signature red lips, green eyeshadow, and dressed to perfection. She always had a smile and kind words for everyone she met and truly let the light of Christ shine through her.
Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband of 62 years, Harold McDonald; 2 daughters, Milicent McDonald and Rosalind Cheek; son-in-law, Scott Cheek; and 2 granddaughters, McKenzie and Shelby Cheek.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 2nd from 6:00 8:00 at Roller-England Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, Nov. 3rd at First Baptist Church, England, AR. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 201 East Haywood, England, Arkansas, 72046.

I am so sorry for your loss. Mrs. McDonald was like a mother to me while I was growing up next door to her wonderful family. She was kind, generous, and very loving. I know she is talking to my mom about everything now in Heaven. God Bless You ALL. Love you all.

My prayers and condolences go out to the family! Mrs. McDonald was a loving, sweet, kind, gentle, friendly woman. She always had something nice to say and we always talked when I saw her at the games. To the family, stay strong and close. Let love be your guide.
Mrs. McDonald was the epitome of kindness, thoughtfulness and authenticity. She was an amazingly positive force dedicated to serving her family and community. I thank her for her example. I was blessed to be her student. She will be missed.
She definitely was a wonderful woman. She loved her family very much because it was the heart of motivation. She taught her girls very well and one of their biggest supporters throughout her life, and that is something so big to have because only a few have that in life. May the families always find the peace and love she shared in their remembrance of her. And may God continue to bring you comfort during difficult times in life. Love you all and may God bless the family.

Prayers and best wishes to Harold and Rosalind and family. Carole was a beautiful person, I am very sorry for your loss.
Harold & family members, I am so sad to have read Carole Anne's obituary in this morning's paper. She & I have been friends since our ASTC college days. I last saw her in front of Home Depot just a couple of months ago & she looked so happy & beautiful. I was wonderful to visit with her at the basketball games the last couple of years.
You all will be in my thoughts as you are making your daily adjustments to living your lives without her.
God Bless, Cecily cB

One of the Sweetest, If not the Sweetest Teacher that taught at England Elementary. She was my Son's Teachers, and All Parents Loved her. When we looked at the list at the beginning of School to see which Teacher your Child would have, Parents would almost hold their breath Hoping to see their Child's name under Mrs. McDonald Class. Prayers goes out to Mr. Harold, His Wonderful Family and Mrs. Carole Anne England Elementary School Family.
