Lacey E. Thompson, 81, of the Mt. Pleasant, Mississippi community died Monday, October 17, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Thompson was a member of Ellison Baptist Church where he was Chairman of the Deacons; he retired from Schlinder Elevator as a service technician.

He is survived by his wife Betty Thompson, a son Larry Thompson (Janet) a daughter, Vicki Smith, three step daughters, Renee Miller (Michael) Bobbie Hendrix (Tony), Bettie Tolbert (Steve) grandchildren, Justin Smith, Valarie, Robby and Austin Williams, Christina Park, Keegan, Kaleb and Kiley Hendrix, Jordan Mitchell, JaMike and Chris Miller and fourteen great grandchildren, and three sisters, Bertha Mullins, Geneva Adkins and Robbie Brower.
