Joyce Laverne Chunn McCarthy, 86, of Bartlett, TN, passed away after an extended illness on Friday, August 19, 2016. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ms. McCarthy retired in 1994 after 27 years as Accounts Receivable Supervisor at Methodist Hospital in Memphis.
She is survived by three children, Stephen Alan Chunn (Judy) of Bartlett TN, David Ray Chunn (Janie) of Bartlett, TN and Marilyn Joyce Wright of Memphis, TN; six grandchildren, Jennifer Turner (Brad), Laura, Kevin and Hannah Chunn, Brooklyn Messick (Brandon) and Scott Davidson (Jennifer); six great-grandchildren, Alex and Dalton Turner, Kannon Chunn, Raelyn, Tucker, and Landry Davidson, one sister Shirley Tice (David) of Potts Camp MS and one sister-in-law Jean Phillips.
She is preceded in death by her husbands, Burtis Lavern Chunn and Francis ''Mac'' McCarthy, and her brother, Harold Gene Phillips.
