of England, AR
March 14, 1940 - May 16, 2016
Patsy Jean Harrison Pettit, 76, was born on March 14, 1940 in England, Arkansas to Earl and Irene Stracener Harrison. She moved to her heavenly home May 16, 2016.
Memaw, as she was known to the entire community, was one of a kind. There was not a baby she couldn't quiet, not a child she didn't cheer on, not a person she couldn't feed, and not a need that she wouldn't do her best to meet. She loved much and was loved by many.
In addition to defining ''mother'' and ''grandmother'' there wasn't anything that Patsy Pettit couldn't do. From leading Scouts when her children were young, to holding positions in Women's Ministry Association, TOPS, and County Extension, she worked tirelessly and gave of herself to so many.
She was the glue that held the family together and that helped the family thrive. She married her soul mate, Doyle Pettit, Jr. February 15, 1959. They shared 57 years of love, laughter, struggles and a bond that included five children, three sons: Ronnie (Sherri) Pettit of North Little Rock, Leonard (Tanya) Pettit of England, Doug (Rhonda) Pettit of Fordyce and two daughters: Patricia (Johnny) Mullins and Debbie (Craig) Surrett all of England; grandchildren: Joey (Sissy) Pettit, Micah (Zack) Nichols, Brittney (Bradley) Robinson, Ryan (Ashley) Surrett, Peyton Mullins, Clayton (Brittany) Pettit, Raeann Surrett, Hunter Pettit, Hannah Pettit and great-grandchildren: Caleb Hillis, Kayden Pettit, Raylee Nichols, Landon Pettit, Carleigh Robinson, Bentley Surrett, Tyson Pettit, Anderson Nichols, Briley Surrett and 1 sister: Joann (Lynn) Carr of Whitehall.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother: Gerald Harrison and 1 grandson: Preston Mullins. She leaves behind many family and friends.
Visitation will be 6-8 P. M. Friday, May 20th at Roller England Funeral Home. Services will be 2:00 P. M., Saturday, May 21st, 2016 at Landmark Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mulberry Cemetery.

Mrs. Patsy wore a lot of hats, and I'm sure her Family Thanked God for each hats she wore, she made life easier for the Hearts she touched. We enjoyed her coming in the England Revenue Office; Diane would ask her when she walked in: ("WHO ARE YOU TODAY?"). She would just smile.. . .and give her a name...........
SHE TOOK VERY GOOD CARE OF HER FAMILY~
She will be missed .....~My Continued Prayer Be with Her Family~
