Sorry to hear about passing of Mr. Emery. He was a true southern gentleman. I got to know Lee and Mr. Emery back in the days of England Academy when I played basketball against Lee and we became friends. Over the years as our kids have grown up I would run into Lee and Mr. Emery at ballgames and always enjoyed getting to visit with them. My prayers go out to the family on your loss. He set an example we can all strive to follow.

Emery will be truly missed by all who knew him. He never saw me that he didn't take the time to talk to me and ask about one of our family members. For one of us to tell a story about something that happened when we were young. He had a big heart for his family. Here's a story a lot of people do not know. When my grandmother died December 25, 1982 we had a horrible snow storm. To be on the road was risking everything. Wilson Funeral was downtown at that time, They had told my Mother she could hold the funeral, but they would have to wait to burial her, ground was frozen, couldn't get to the grave yard on 256 S right next to Jefferson Co line. Emery came to Mother and told her not to worry he would see that Aunt Mattie would be buried. Somehow the grave was dug. There was sand and salt from Wilson's to the grave yard. Emery, buddy you saw to your word and your great Aunt Mattie was buried. Just another crown for you. You will be missed. Prayers are with your family.

To my sweet brother, I Love You so much and you were so good to me in every way, anytime I wanted something you always made sure I had it. I will never forget all the good times we had playing outside when we were kids. You were always joking with me and pulling my hair. And always pulling my leg about something,, and pinching my noise and making me laugh even when I didn't want to laugh. You were a very particular brother about everything. I really enjoyed you coming to visit me at the nursing home. I am going to miss you saying to me Margaret Ann you better behave yourself. And if I was upset about something you would say dry it up and straighten up that face. I'm going to miss you so much and Tell mama and daddy Hi for me and I love them. I love you too. So What do you say about "One of The Most Interesting Men in England"?

1. If He was to pat you on the back, you would list it on your resume
2. He is considered a national treasure in countries he’s never visited
3. Cars look both ways for him, before driving down a street
4. His shadow has been on the 'best dressed' list twice
5. He has inside jokes with people he’s never met.
6. His wallet is woven out of chupacabra leather
7. Freemasons strive to learn HIS secret handshake
8. If He were to say something costs an arm and a leg, it would
9. He is the life of parties that he has never attended
10.When he holds His wife purse, he looks manly
Mr. Emery was "One" of a kind & will be Truly missed in this Community~ Prayer for the Family
