Alice J. Downey, age 84, of Lakeview, AR formerly of Galloway, TN, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Downey was born on June 20, 1931 in Midland, TX to Ernest and Hattie Parsons. Survivors include Buddy Chandler, Ann Cox, Sammy Chandler (Collette), Faye Ervin, Judy Johnson (Mike) and 40 grandchildren. Services will be held at Roller Family Funeral Home on Austin Peay Highway in Memphis, TN, on Friday, July 17. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM with funeral services to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Memphis Memory Hill Gardens on Germantown Parkway. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital Tribute Program, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN, 38148. Account #38549185.
