Lucian Alexander Ward, Jr., 80, died on January 24, 2015, in Memphis. He is survived by his wife, Etoile Callaway Ward, and six children, Lucian III, Rod, Cliff, Matt, Wade, and Annemarie; eight grandchildren: Alex, Colin, Janie, Cassi, Paige, and Alex Ward, IV, Rion Blevins, Hayley Mooney; and one great-grandson, Hunter Rushton Blevins. He was preceded in death by his son, Rushton Callaway Ward, and his parents.
He attended Marion Military Institute and Mississippi State University and taught electronics in the Air Force. He retired from United Technologies in Columbus, MS.
Services will be held at the Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 9:30 on January 29. A memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2808 Ridge Road in Columbus, Mississippi, at 2:00 PM on January 31.
