Roy P. Blaylock, Sr., 81, died Thursday, November 3, 2011 in Memphis, TN. He graduated from the MS School for Deaf with many sports honors and retired as a printer after 44 years at Commercial Appeal Mr. Blaylock was a deacon for many years at First Baptist Church and Kirby Woods Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sarah; two daughters, Laura Donovan and Linda Moore; one son, Roy P. Blaylock, Jr. all of Memphis; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
There will a visitation at 12 noon on Monday, November 7, 2011 until a 2 pm service, both at Kirby Woods Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at Memphis Memorial Gardens on Germantown Road.
