Pat Scribner, beloved mother to three children, 80 years old, of Arkansas passed away in North Little Rock on April 24, 2025, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
She was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on September 26, 1944 to Roy and Beulah Stogner. She was born into a large, loving family. She had 6 siblings, including 5 brothers and 1 sister. Pat graduated from Little Rock Central High School, before becoming a wife, homemaker and mother. Pat worked outside of the home once her children were grown at Bingham Road Baptist Church daycare, where she enjoyed loving on and caring for all the babies. She was one of a kind with the biggest heart imaginable. Pat was the absolute best cook, making her famous coconut cream pies, banana pudding, mackerel patties and other delicious foods, all from scratch and made with love. If Pat knew you were coming to visit, she would have the table spread with all your favorite foods. She loved sweets and loved to share them with her family and friends. Pat had a way of welcoming family and friends, always including everyone. Caring for others was one of the many gifts she gave to this world. During her last few weeks, she was lovingly cared for by her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Wayne Caldwell. Pat enjoyed the pampering and deserved every bit.
Pat married her sweetheart, James Scribner, and together they built a beautiful life. Their marriage of over 50 years was filled with love and laughter.
Pat was a devoted mother to Mary Caldwell (Wayne Caldwell), James Scribner and Cathy Sue Leslie. Her children were her pride and joy, and they felt that by the love and support she provided.
Grandma Pat took special joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Grandma was always ready for a hug, wrestling with the kids, playing hide & seek and singing songs. Sleepovers and visits with the grandkids were a special time for her.
Pat was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Sue Leslie and husband, James Scribner and is survived by brother, Wilburn Stogner; daughter, Mary Caldwell; son, James Scribner; grandchildren, Matthew Scribner, Lance and Whitney Brewer, Lindsey Jones, Anneka Gills, Landin Gills and Hannah Gills and great grandchildren, Gage, Parker, Canaan, Kaesyn, Jessie and Lilly, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives.
