Sam Don Beasley, 90, of Southside passed away on April 25, 2025 at Wood Lawn Heights in Batesville.
He was born November 3, 1934 in Graham Chapel, Texas to Sam D. Beasley and Helen Redditt Beasley.
Sam married the love of his life, Jeannie Tucker. They were married for nearly 69 years. He was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ and preached for many years after retirement.
He loved to travel, reading about interesting places in his National Geographic collection. His love for travel took his kids and grandkids to the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and beyond.
He is survived by three children, Sam "Hick" Beasley (Lisa), Charles "Chuck" Beasley (Becky), and Terri Johnson (Chet). He is also survived by one sister, Linda Ferguson Speights; three grandchildren, Jillean Beasley, Seth Beasley (Brandy), and Cody Beasley (Alicia); great grandchildren, Gentry, Gauge, Macie, Ella, Hannah, Clara, Charlie, and Leah.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his brothers, Leonard, Ralph, and Lloyd; sister, Thelma, and granddaughter, Terrie Lynn Beasley.
Pallbearers are Hick Beasley, Chuck Beasley, Chet Johnson, Seth Beasley, Cody Beasley, and Gauge Tarpley.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 10:00am at Oil Trough Church of Christ with Seth Beasley officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be held begin at 9:00am prior to the service.
