He was born in Mississippi on June 14, 1931 to William and Sammy Harris. He was the 7th child of 9 children. All of his siblings have predeceased him.
Charles worked on a farm for most of his life. He had a vast knowledge of farming and was known as a hard worker. He remained active after retirement. He rode a bicycle, mowed yards, and loved to play dominos. He also loved being outdoors. He would put up feeders for humming birds and sit on his porch watching the squirrels and birds.
Charles is predeceased by two of his children, Shelia Crouch and Glenn Harris. He is survived by three children, Charles G. Harris (Roxanne), Steve Harris (Gail) and Jason Harris.(Courtney) He has ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Grave side services will be held at Salem Cemetery on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 11:00. It is located at 20621 Arch Street, Little Rock, Arkansas.
