To: Jagger, Jayde, Patricia, Vickie, Vick and all other family members
I have only fond memories of Mary Jo (actually I don’t think I ever knew her real middle name.) i think that I can honestly say that Mary was my one and only “ teacher’s pet” I ever had! She was an eighth grader when I first started teaching at Black Rock. She and her family took me under their wings by showing me true southern hospitality by feeding me and letting me stay at their home in the afternoons when we had meetings or Choir Concerts. They made sure that I did not have to drive to Jonesboro and back for our programs. She and Vickie even drove to my house for piano lessons on the day I went into labor with my firstborn. I could go on and on about how Mary Jo and her family blessed me during that time and since. I will greatly miss Mary Jo as all of her family and friends will! This is not goodbye—this is I’ll see you later! Enjoy your new home in heaven, Mary Jo and don’t give the others any trouble!
I'm so sorry for ur loss. May God be with h u all.
Vickie and Family, prayers for you as you celebrate Mary Jo’s life and her contribution to so many others. May you be comforted by her precious memories! God bless!

I sure hate to hear of her passing. I met Mary Jo when I worked at the cake store. I so enjoyed getting to visit with her, she brought a special light to everyone around her! RIP Mary Jo you will always be remembered! Big hug for your kids and family
Mary Jo - such a kind and lovely soul. You could always tell when there was a “Mary Jo” cake (or cookies) nearby - you could just smell the butter and sugar! When my little family left Arkansas for NY, she supplied us with cookies for the road. I don’t hi k they lasted us much past Memphis!
I loved your light Mary Jo. May it shine down on us all.
So sorry to the family for your great loss. I pray that gods will comfort and keep you today and the days ahead
