Larry Gene Ballard, 84, of Marked Tree, AR, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at NEA Baptist in Jonesboro, AR. He was born on April 16, 1941, in Tyronza, AR, to T.C. and Era (Walton) Ballard. Larry worked in the farming industry most of his life, and at Midsouth Manufacturing in Marked Tree until his retirement, when he devoted his time to flea marketing with his wife Sophie. He was a member of the Upper Room Apostolic Church in Tyronza.
Larry is preceded in death by loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Sophie, his parents, a brother, Wilford Ballard, and a sister Wilma Wood.
Left to remember Larry are his daughter, Peggy (George) Morgan; grandchildren Ivy Sellers and Victoria (Tanner) Price; great grandchildren Brennyn, Tinsley, and Traceton; and many friends, neighbors, and loved ones.
Funeral services will begin at 3pm on Friday, April 25, 2025, at the Upper Room Apostolic Church (164 S. Main St. Tyronza, AR) with Bro. Dewayne Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Potters Cemetery in Lepanto, AR.
Visitation will precede the service beginning at 1pm.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Timmy Ballard, Terry Ballard, Joey Wood, Ricky Wood, Curtis Wood, and Tanner Price.
Arrangements are under the care of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
Bro. Ballard will be missed by many. My husband was his pastor for almost 15 yrs. He gave my husband advise sometimes and we enjoyed him and his sweet wife Sophie so much. Praying we will see him again 9ne day. Blessings to his family and peace and comfort in Jesus name amen.
