of Mountain Home, AR
September 28, 1952 - April 21, 2025
Mrs. Janet L. Fouts, age 72, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Monday, April 21, 2025 in Mountain Home, surrounded by her family. She was born September 28, 1952 in Mountain Home, Arkansas to Charles and Delores (Queen) Reed.
Mrs. Fouts dedicated her life to loving her family. She was married to the love of her life for 56 years. They enjoyed traveling, genealogy, camping and fishing in their early years. She loved the beach trips especially and would bring home hermit crabs and white sand. She was a great mother. She always made time to listen to her three children when problems arose. She made sure her children knew Jesus. She was a Baptist and a longtime member of East Side Baptist Church and made sure to instill life values in her children. She loved teaching her children how to cook and was always ready to talk them through a recipe over the phone. She fully embellished her role as grandma, spoiling them and loving them! Those grandbabies were her life! She had several hobbies she enjoyed, including finding and selling antiques, photography, creating flower pots from tile pieces, socializing with online friends and tending to her chickens, "The Henriettas". She loved holidays and went all out with the cooking and decorating. She especially loved Christmas and had a Nutcracker collection that even made Santa jealous. Mrs. Fouts was very passionate about food insecurity, making sure kids and adults did not go hungry. She routinely donated to the Foodbank of North Central Arkansas.
Mrs. Fouts is survived by her devoted husband, Randy Fouts; two sons, David Fouts (Angela) of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Rick Fouts (Holly) of Lonoke, Arkansas; one daughter, Debra Schulte (John) of Mountain Home, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Garrett Arnold, Madison Fouts of Cape Girardeau, Jessica (Dominic) Grimsdale and Elizabeth (Tyler) Hilton of Mountain Home, Braeden Fouts and Audrey Fouts of Lonoke; two great-grandchildren, Maxwell Grimsdale and Julian Grimsdale of Mountain Home; one brother, Larry Reed (Janet) of Flippin; one sister, Tammy Reed of Mountain Home; two brothers-in-law, Steve (Karen) Fouts of Mountain Home, Mike (Marge) Fouts of Hollister, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Penne (Kenneth) Smith of Gassville, Arkansas and Peggy (Dave) Almond of Mountain Home, Arkansas and two aunts, Geneva Sinor and Barbara Queen and several nieces and nephews that she held dear to her heart. She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandchild, Evan Fouts and one sister, Mary Aleeta Reed.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM on Friday, April 25, 2025 at the Roller Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 AM at Baxter Memorial Gardens, Mountain Home with Pastor Scott Speer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please consider honoring her memory by donating to East Side Baptist Church-Encounter Ministry and Benevolence, Hospice of the Ozarks or The Foodbank of North Central Arkansas.
