Mary Frances Tipton, 80, of Helena, Arkansas passed on April 15, 2025. She was born on Saturday, October 21, 1944, in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Luther ''Jack'' Mitchell and Lillie Mitchell. Mary graduated from Central High School and Phillips County Community College in Helena, Arkansas. She was a LPN and RN nurse for 32 years at the Helena Regional Medical Center and Clarksdale Hospital. She attended the Assembly of God Church in Helena, Arkansas. Her hobbies included collecting beautiful, unique jewelry, playing slot machines, and horse racing.

She is survived by her daughter, Mims Dunne of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; son, Joe Tipton, Jr. of Helena, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Holly Dunne of Denver, Colorado, Katelyn Mary (Tayler) of Benton, Arkansas (Katelyn is her namesake), Kassie Tipton of Helena, Arkansas, and Brodie Tipton of Helena, Arkansas; one great grandson, Creed Everett Crist; one brother, Everett (Sue) Mitchell of Helena, Arkansas; one sister and her lifelong best friend, Vera Godwin of Helena, Arkansas; a host of nieces, nephews, and their families.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Tipton; her parents, Luther ''Jack'' Mitchell and Lillie Mitchell; her brother, Luther Mitchell; three sisters, Martha Edwards, Doris Lawrence, and Patricia Jane Braden all of Helena, Arkansas.

A funeral service for Mary Frances Tipton will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held prior at 1:00 p.m. at Roller-Citizens Funeral home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in West Helena, Arkansas.
