Mona Raye Hercher, 84 years old, passed away peacefully on April 14th, 2025, at Heritage Living Center, Conway, Arkansas. Mona was born March 13th, 1941, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She attended Trinity Lutheran School, obtained a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Science in Administration of Health Services from the University of Houston Clear Lake. She worked at the University of Texas Medical Branch as a lab manager in Galveston, Texas where she met Beth Liberto. They spent several years in Maitland, Florida before moving to San Antonio, Texas. Mona spent her retirement enjoying and caring for her pets, golfing, traveling, reading, dining out with friends and taking walks. Mona was a kind, loving person who was generous of spirit and always helping others. She was known for her delicious brownies and key lime pie. Mona was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Vernon Hercher, her sister Dr. Sondra (Dr. Fred) Gordy and her partner Beth Liberto. She is survived by her nephews Hunter (Ambra) Austin and Graham (Amy) Gordy; great nieces and nephews, Hadleigh (Andrew) Griffin, Ethan Austin, Lilla Gordy and Ike Gordy. Memorials may be made in her honor to an Alzheimer's charity of choice.

I’ll be miss Mona greatly, we were neighbors and became very good friends. She would helped everyone in our neighborhood. It was my true honor got to know her and spend times with her.
