Mark ''Fred'' Stiefvater, 69, of Conway, AR, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 9, 2025; surrounded by family. He was born on October 21, 1955, to the late Joseph and Louise Stiefvater. Fred lived life to the fullest, where he was an avid fisherman, hunter, and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church; he was also a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Fred loved spending any chance he got to take a weekend trip up to his cabin at Half Moon, AR. Another past time of Fred's was spending time on the Arkansas River even if it was making Lu drive down to ''look at the water''. If Fred wasn't off on one of his adventures, he was happy to be at his Conway home, where Joey would come by to visit and enjoy one of their favorite beverages.
Fred graduated from Conway High School in 1973, and Petit Jean VoTech (Morrilton) in 1975. He was employed as a partner at Hiegel H&S glass until his retirement in 2023.
Fred is preceded in death by his parent's; brother, James (Jim) Stiefvater; sister, Mary Ann Stiefvater, and nephew, John Stiefvater.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, LuAnn (Ethridge) Stiefvater; his ole buddy, Jack; two brothers, Ray Stiefvater of Conway, and Ralph (Marilyn) Stiefvater of Hot Springs Village; sister-in-law, Carol Stiefvater (Conway); brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Jennifer Ethridge; nephews, Joey, James, Brian, Alan Stiefvater, and Jacob Owens; nieces, Tamela Stiefvater, Becca Lauer, JoLynn Moix, and Suzanne Wren, and a host of additional family and friends who will all miss Fred dearly.
Services will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway, AR, beginning with a Rosary at 10:00 a.m., followed by visitation and Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. The Burial will be at Crestlawn Memorial Park, Conway, AR.
Pallbearers; Joey Stiefvater, James Stiefvater, Brian Stiefvater, Alan Stiefvater, Art Noel and John Luyet.
Honorary Pallbearers; Bobby Hopkins, Joe Claflin, Jay Williams, Shane Causey, Randy Ethridge and Jordan Moix.
In lieu of flowers the family ask the any contributions be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

I hate to hear of Mark s passing. He was a great guy who always had a friendly word when we met. I hadn't seen mark in a few years but he was my go to for glass work. He always had a gift basket to share with us come deer season. He will be missed
