Teddy Carl Daniels, 88, of Mount Ida, passed the morning of April 11, 2025. He was born September 24, 1936, in Lonoke AR. Ted was preceded in death by parents Roy and Ada Daniels, brother Charles Daniels, sister Joann Niehaus and granddaughter Megan Daniels. Ted is survived by his wife of 66 years Helen Fortner Daniels, children Tim Daniels and daughter Jennifer McCulloch (John), granddaughter Kirstin Daniels and great grandchildren, Tyler, Bailey, Chad, Kali and Kenneth.
Ted served in the United States Navy for 2 years aboard the USS Randolph. After 38 years working for Philips (Westinghouse) he moved to Mount Ida and a 5-minute commute to his next career of crappie fishing. Ted enjoyed the outdoors hunting deer, quail, turkey and especially fishing for crappie. In the spring he would fish in the morning, come in for lunch then return for more in the afternoon. Many fish were donated to the annual church fish fry. He also enjoyed vacationing in Destin Florida where many family vacations were spent.
Ted was always amazed and enjoyed the times he spent with the Fortner family gatherings.
Ted stayed busy working in the yard or dabbling in carpentry. He was skilled at repairing almost anything including automotive or mechanical, even manufacturing his own parts when needed.
Ted and Helen joined Lake Ouachita Baptist Church after moving to Mount Ida.
Funeral will be 12:30pm, Monday, April 14, 2025, in the chapel of Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 I 30, Little Rock, Arkansas. Visitation will begin at 11:30am until service time. Burial will follow in Arkansas Memorial Gardens, North Little Rock.
