Jacob Todd Calvert, 30, of Osceola, AR passed away on April 9, 2025. He was born on July 22, 1994, in Poplar Bluff, MO to Tim and Melissa Calvert. Jacob graduated with a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Lyon College in Batesville, AR, and taught at Osceola High School and Rivercrest High School in Mississippi County. He was a loving husband, son, and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family. Jacob loved to cook, watch TikToks, and play with his fur babies: Phoebe and Rachel. He is survived by his husband: Ben Calvert, parents, Tim and Melissa Calvert, brother: William Calvert, honorary sister: Chelsea Hart, grandfather: Russell Roberts, step-grandmother: Susan Roberts, step-grandfather: Junior Stephens, and his fur babies: Phoebe and Rachel. Jacob was preceded in death by his grandparents: Walter and Lola Calvert, Grandma Dorothy Stephens, uncle: Shannon Hart, and fur babies: Chandler and Peach. Oh what a great homecoming and reunion day Jacob got to experience. I can see Shannon and Aunt Dot and other friends and family welcoming him with open arms. I met Jacob at a very rough time in my life. He was one of the most welcoming, loving and thoughtful people I’ve ever met. I never had a conversation with him that resulted in anything but a laugh, smile or sentimental moment. I’m so sad I won’t be able to ever have one those conversations with him again. I was at a loss for words when I found out that Jacob had passed. We were in the same graduating class at Lyon College, lived next to each other our freshman year, and even shared a house the summer before our junior year. Jacob was a shining light—someone who brightened my days and helped me come out of my shell. We studied together often, and he was always the one who could make me laugh, smile, and offer a shoulder to cry on when I needed it. He will always hold a special place in my heart.
