Rest easy my great friend and mentor in life. See you on the other side.
So sorry to hear this May peace and love be with you and your family.
After knowing Larry and Susan since 1978, I guess I should first say they were both dear friends of mine. So it was with a joyful heart that I must add that I saw Susan come to Christ and accept him, through her baptism into the Lord, and then she was witnessing to Larry. After Susan passed away, Larry married Linda and I was thrilled in one Christmas card when Linda wrote that Larry accepted Christ and was baptized into The Lord as well. That is what this life is all about! I guess I couldn’t be prouder that both are saved souls.
To the family, I pray for your hearts in the loss of Larry. All of you will miss him so. He loved you. God bless all of you.
My sincere condolences to the family of Larry Ward. I was fortunate as a grad student and then later as a NRCS soil scientist to work and be around him. Many fond memories of driving him and Moye Rutledge around eastern Arkansas, listening and learning from them, and scribing Ward's notes as he described soils. Ward understood the soils and landscapes like no one else. He was a great mentor for me and many others. We are grateful that part of his life was shared with us.
Linda I am so sorry for your loss of Larry ! May your memories and time of your love with Larry give you comfort! You can have comfort in knowing that you will meet again in heaven ! Love you and Larry and may God give you strength and comfort that only God can I love you!
Larry was my neighbor - he was everything a neighbor should be and more. I am a forester and he was one of the few people i could talk about soils.

Larry will be missed by his soil science friends. I was a graduate student with Moye Rutledge and Larry spent time training me. I remember working with him and I was addressing him as Mr. Ward. He said "stop calling me Mr. Ward, you're making me feel old". He was a legend and could see things in a landscape that most everyone would miss. Thanks to the family for sharing him with us.
Phillip
We are happy that you are resting now and at peace! You will be missed my friend!
