Tommy R.D. Case

of Clarksville, AR

July 10, 1936 - April 7, 2025

Tommy R.D. Case, 88 years old, passed away at home on April 7, 2025, from congestive heart failure. He was born in Pettigrew, AR on July 10, 1936, to Effie Bell (Ritchie) Case, and his father, Thomas, passed away before he was born. His mother married Jasper Case and Tommy was raised by him and his mother.

Tommy married Virginia Yates on February 18, 1956, and he graduated from Oark High School that same year. Then they moved from Arkansas to Tulsa, Oklahoma. They lived much of their life in Tulsa, where they raised their two daughters. Tommy retired from McDonnell Douglas in 1991. He and his wife moved back to the Clarksville area in 1994, and they built a house on 80 acres they had purchased on Highway 103 at the top of the mountain. Tommy loved cars; he worked on them to sell for a second income. He also loved square dancing and helping others. He was a member of Oakland Street Full Gospel Church here in town. His daughter, Shirley Ann Coonrod, passed away shortly before his passing.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 69 years, Virginia Case; his daughter, Marlene Cheek of McKinney, TX; his grandchildren, Steve Coonrod of Siloam Springs, AR, Jeff and his wife Brittany Coonrod of Kansas, OK, and Benjamin Cheek of McKinney, TX; his brother, Delmer Case of Clarksville, AR; several sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

His earthly life will be celebrated at Roller-Cox Funeral Home on Monday, April 14, 2025. The visitation will be from 10:00 a.m., and the service will be at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Case Cemetery in Ozone, Arkansas.

''For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.'' Philippians 1:21
