Charles Don Goodson, 87, of Paris, Arkansas passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025 in Paris. He was born on February 10, 1938 in Paris to his parents, Ernie and Vivian (Bridges) Goodson.
Don served in the United States Army National Guard and was retired having worked many years as a carpenter, in constriction and on the gas wells. He enjoyed hunting, loved exploring on Mount Magazine and most of all he adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a member of First Assembly of God In Paris.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one sister, Loretta Cameron and one brother, Lyndell Goodson.
He is survived by his wife of over 61 years Doris (Hill) Goodson of Paris; one daughter, Shelly Schluterman and husband Mark of Subiaco; one son, Duane Goodson of Paris; one brother, James Edward Moore and wife Barbara of Paris; 5 grandchildren, Ali Trusty and husband Andy of Lavaca, Kyley Dellinger and husband Derek of Branch, Jaclyn Adair and husband Brandon of Sugar Grove, Kendall Schluterman and wife Hannah of Subiaco and Elise Stanley and husband Justin of Oak, Oklahoma; 12 great grandchildren, Claire and Oliver Trusty, Arlie Lisko, Harris and Boston Dellinger, Jackson and Jace Goodson, Peyton and Remington Adair, Clayton and Camden Schluterman and Willow Stanley and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel. Burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date at Moore Cemetery in Paris. Arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.

Doris, Shelly and Duane, So sorry to hear about Don. We were such good friends
when we were small and lived next door in California. My older brother, Norman and I spent every extra minute we could with our cousin Don. He was and has always been like a brother to me. I spoke with him last month, and was surprised to hear now of his passing. My fun memories of our good times will last always, and please know that he will never be forgotten. Love you all.
