of Senatobia, MS
February 26, 1968 - April 1, 2025
Judy Lynn Fairley, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away on April 1, 2025 at the age of 57 after a long battle with Alzheimer. Born on her big brother's sixth birthday, February 26, 1968, Judy grew up in Osceola, Arkansas and enjoyed a wonderful, full life with her parents, family and friends. Her life was marked by her faith in God, her love for His church, her family, her friends and her hometown of Osceola.
Chief among Judy's interests was a love of music and singing, particularly country music and southern gospel upon which she often declared she was raised. Judy loved fashion and beauty, exuded confidence and always presented herself with a spectacular sense of style. She was gifted with a keen memory for birthdays and anniversaries, and for many, many years faithfully showered those she loved with cards and notes of care and encouragement. Judy was a gentle caregiver to her parents until 2016 when they all moved to Memphis.
In late 2017, Judy moved to The Baddour Center in Senatobia, Mississippi where she made many new friends among the residents and staff and was loved by all. She held her first paid job, traveled on adventures near and far, discovered karaoke, was crowned Homecoming Queen and fulfilled her dream of being a model on the runways of the Baddour Center fashion show. In her words, she ''met the most wonderful man named Brian Ziskind'' and they were sweethearts the entirety of her time at Baddour. Like many couples, they had a standing weekly movie date night, attended church and dances and faced sicknesses together each caring for the weaker other.
Judy was predeceased by her devoted parents, Max L. ''Bo'' and Bennie Kunze Fairley.
She is survived by her big brother, Max; sister-in-law, Mary Helen; her nephews, Phillip Lincoln (Shelby) Fairley and their son, Sterling Frances, Warren Steed Fairley and Paul Edward (Savannah) Fairley and her forever sweetheart, Brian. She is also survived by her cousin, Terri Fairley, who was faithful to regularly call and visit, as well as many other cherished cousins.
Judy will be remembered as a Child of God, fearfully and wonderfully made, whose days were ordained and written in His book before one of them came to be and who entered Heaven by the finished work of her Savior, Jesus Christ in whose righteousness she now stands blameless before Almighty God.
The family will gather Saturday, April 5th in Osceola at the First Christian Church, 900 W. Ford Avenue. Visitation will begin at 2:00 and the Service will begin at 3:00. Burial will be at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens, 2173 US Highway 61, Osceola.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial gift to the First Christian Church or The Baddour Center, 626 Baddour Blvd., Senatobia, MS 38668.
Services are under the direction of Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home.
Our deepest condolences for your loss. Our. Heartfelt prayers are with you and for you during this difficult time.
We are so surprised and sad to read about the passing of Judy! She left such an imprint on the hearts of all she met and encouraged us when we were visiting her. I still remember coming over to see her and her sweet mom and dad, and Judy would be sitting at the table writing her stories. Her dad, mom and Judy were a lovely family who dearly loved the Lord and we were blest to be able to know and love them back. Our prayers will be with the Fairley family during this difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, may you all find peace and comfort. The Douglass'
