One of the best memories I have is when I first met Howard. When the UP bought the MKT it forced me to move from central Missouri to central Arkansas and I didn't know anyone in Arkansas. The first railroad person I met was Howard, who showed me around the N. Little Rock rail yard to familiarize me with it. He was very kind and generous to me while there were other who were not. Howard was a very good man and I'm sorry that he has passed.
