Garland ''Bud'' Fredrick, 83, of Paris, Arkansas formally of Waveland and Havana passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025, at his home on the mountain with his family by his side.
Bud was born August 19, 1941, in Waveland, Arkansas to his parents, Jefferson Davis Fredrick and Beulah (Thomas) Fredrick. Bud worked as a private contractor, working on and building houses. He was a man known for being a ''Jack of All Trades'' he worked logging timber, pulp wood, mechanic, poultry farmer and many other side jobs. He enjoyed hunting for deer, turkey, squirrels, racoons, and other wildlife. He also enjoyed fishing for crappie and catfish. As he got older, he enjoyed watching the wildlife from his front porch on the mountain. He also was a devoted worker and supporter of the Havana Food Bank.
He is preceded in death by his parents listed above, a brother, Davis ''Ossie'' Fredrick, three sisters, Mandy Nelms, Margie Sue Wright and Daisy Moore; a half-brother, J.D. Fredrick and a nephew, James Moore.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-two years, Betty (Wilks) Fredrick of the home; his daughter, Tammy Fredrick of Waveland; his son, David Fredrick and wife, Kathy of Waveland; a brother, James Harper and wife, Phyliss of Waveland; three grandchildren, Morgan Fincher and husband, Mark of Waveland, Robin DuVall and husband, Sam of Havana and Gina Jackson of Morrilton; three great grandchildren, Marc Henson and Linz of Havana, Lariyah Swayzer and King Swayzer of Morrilton; one great-great grandchild, Bryan Henson of Havana; several other family members and friends.
Memorial Service will be held 1:00 P.M., Friday, April 4, 2025 at Moore Chapel church in Waveland officiated by Rev. Thomas McCoy and Rev. Bob Caldwell followed by the burial of the cremated remains in Moore cemetery.
The family request that any flowers ordered be delivered to the church by 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 4, 2025.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
